Local Outreach

Christianity Explored: One of the ways we seek to give people the opportunity to explore the Christian faith is by running Christianity Explored courses from time to time. See the courses section of the website for more information.

Prison Visiting: HM Prison & Young Offenders’ Institution Parc is located in Bridgend. Members of the Church regularly visit some of the prison's inmates. They do this to provide support and a listening ear confident in the knowledge that the gospel of Jesus is relevant for anyone and everyone whatever their past.

Foodbank: Bridgend Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust, providing emergency food supplies to families in crisis in the borough of Bridgend. Some people from the church support the work with their time as volunteers and there is a regular collection of food given by the church.

Elderly Care Homes: A number of people from the church visit two local care homes (Glan yr Afon and Brocastle Manor) on a monthly basis to befriend the residents and conduct informal services with singing, prayer and a short Bible-based talk.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language: A small group meets every week at the church with local people who wish to improve their spoken or written English.
