Friday Nights

Every Friday during term time teenagers of secondary school age (11-18) meet at the church from 7.30pm to 9pm. Young people from most of the schools in Bridgend attend making it a great and safe place to meet new people and make friends. We also have a good number from other local churches joining with us each week. Two elements make up the average Friday night meeting: talking truth & having fun.

Truth – We aim to explore the Christian message and apply it to our lives and the world around us. There are a number of topics that we look at over the year.

Plain & Simple: we will explain the good news of Jesus in a simple and relevant way.

Foundations: exploring some of the most important truths or doctrines of the faith.

Bible Overview: tracing the storyline and themes of God’s word seeing them fulfilled in Jesus.

The Word and the World: being a Christian in the real world, seeing what the Bible has to say about sport, culture, film, music, work etc.

Fun – Every week some sort of activity is organised for us to have some fun. Over the last few terms we have had craft nights, cooking, karaoke, tide fights, beach BBQ’s, wide games, ten pin bowling, ice-skating, sport days and loads more.

House Party

Every year we invade Hebron Hall in Dinas Powys for a weekend house party. We invite a guest speaker to share the good news about Jesus Christ. The  programme is action packed with activities, games, music, swimming, great food and a real opportunity for us to get to know newer members of the group.
